Countervailing duties

Countervailing duties

November 3, 2016, the US Customs issued a notice under the WTO rules and the 1930 Tariff Act requirements, the US Department of Commerce in the anti-subsidy preliminary ruling 120 days after the suspension of the imposition of countervailing duties.
The US Customs will no longer impose countervailing duties on passenger-car tires imported from China since November 2, 2016. The moratorium on countervailing duties will continue until the US International Trade Commission (USITC) issues its final injunctive judgment in the Federal Register.
It is understood that the US Department of Commerce final ruling time is expected in 2017 on January 19; the US International Trade Commission on February 22 will vote on the damage.
